The wait time for collecting your pottery is usually between 10-14 days. During exceptionally busy periods (looking at you, school holidays!) it can be up to a month. If you need your pottery back for a specific date, let us know and we can fast-track it. We understand how hard it is to wait for your pottery to be ready, but remember that we are working as quickly as we can, and need time to ensure your pottery comes back to you in tip-top condition!

Remember that we keep a rotational stock of pottery, which means that not everything is on the shelves all of the time. If you’ve got a specific shape in mind, get in touch! If we don’t already have it, we’ll add it to our orders book.

Hand, Foot and Paw Prints

Adding prints to pottery creates the ultimate personalised gift, and we’re passionate about giving you something you’ll treasure forever. We print any hand, foot or finger onto any piece of pottery - or why not print a Halloween ‘Bumpkin’ with your baby for something a little different? Dogs get to make their mark too - book in your furry friend for a pawprint immortalising session.

Our baby print appotintments are at 10:30am and 2:00pm on weekdays, and our family printing appointments are on Saturdays. If your new baby makes travelling difficult, and you live locally, we can also organise a home printing visit - just get in touch!

Printing prices depend on the pottery you choose, and the amount of artwork you want. Artwork fees are based on a £10.00-per-hour rate, and start from just £2.00. We tailor your design to suit your budget, and always make the printing experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Due to the addition of artwork, the wait time for printed pottery is longer than standard ‘paint-your-own’ pieces. If you need your pottery for a specific date, make sure to book in early, especially before Christmas and Mother’s Day!

If you’d like to enquire about group printing for a nursery, playgroup or baby class, have a read of our ‘Visits To Your Venue’ section!

Commission Pottery

Sometimes you need something extra-special; something you don’t quite feel capable of painting yourself. That’s where we come in! We can paint anything on to any piece of pottery (seriously, our strangest request to date was a replica of an elephant painted by a toddler) and would be proud to bring your vision to life.

Commissioned pieces take a lot of time, effort and love, meaning that we have to charge an artwork fee in addition to the price of your pottery. This is based on a £10.00-per-hour-rate, starts from just £2.00, and is estimated during the initial consultation.

Depending on the complexity of your design and the time of year, the wait time for commissioned pieces can be up to eight weeks. For this reason, we highly recommend ordering your piece well in advance of the required delivery date. If you’ve left it a bit late, don’t despair! But please let us know the deadline, to avoid any disappointments later on!

Paint ‘til Late

If painting pottery in a chilled-out studio is your idea of a great night out… then we agree! Join us to ‘Paint ‘til Late’ on selected Friday Nights, from 7:00pm-9:00pm to paint your cares away.

Friday Nights come with complementary hot drinks, and you’re welcome to bring your own nibbles. Unfortunately we cannot have any alcohol on the premises, so ‘Brushes and Bubbles’ are a no. On the plus side, we’re situated next to a wine bar, so why not pay a visit there after you’ve painted?

’Paint ‘til Late’ runs every fortnight, but the studio is always open on Friday evenings, 7:00pm-9:00pm for collections and enquiries. To check our upcoming ‘Paint ‘til Late’ dates, look at the events page, get in touch or visit our social media!

Pottery Parties

Hen dos, baby showers, and - of course - Birthdays! We love a party and our pottery painting parties are suitable for all occasions. Held in our upstairs party room for a more exclusive experience, they come in three packages to allow an option for everyone.

Prices
Our party prices don’t charge per head; instead you pay an overall fee for all the ‘party’ features, then pay for your pottery on top. For children’s parties, we recommend setting a budget per head of £12.00-£14.00. For adults, it’s up to each person how much they want to spend on their choice of pottery. With that explained, here are the packages!

Jade Package:
You get the exclusive use of our upstairs studio, as well as a dedicated party host.
£20.00 + the price of your pottery

Peridot Package:
Like the Jade Package, but sparklier! As well as a room and a host, we will decorate the room in keeping with the theme of your party, including a balloon for you to take home.
£30.00 + the price of your pottery

Emerald Package:
Highly recommended for children with short attention spans: as well as painting, your party host will also run some party games (or a quiz for the older clientele). For adult gatherings, the games can be replaced with hot drinks!
£40.00 + the price of your pottery

All the Nitty-Gritty Bits:

  • Children’s parties are for children turning 7 years old and older. We’ve found that children below that age need too much supervision, and only spend 20 minutes painting. If your 5 year-old loves painting pottery, we suggest making a normal booking and bringing them to the main studio.

  • Our parties are for 6 - 14 people. If you want a larger gathering, or have mobility issues, your party will be held in the downstairs studio (the same fees apply)

  • Parties can be held at 10:30am or 2:00pm, and you’re welcome to arrive a bit early to get set up. There is no strict time limit beyond our opening hours, unless we have another party that day. We will always let you know in advance if this is the case.

  • None of our packages include any food, but you are more than welcome to bring your own cake, non-perishable nibbles and non-alcoholic drinks. Unfortnately we cannot cater to a full ‘party tea’ spread, so leave the sandwiches for later! PLEASE DO NOT bring any disposable plates or cups. We will provide you with resuable picnicware for your party.

  • Non-painting adults are welcome to stay with their children at parties, but please be aware that chair space is limited in the party room.

Groups and Team-Building

If you’re looking for an Away Day with a difference, or a new activity for your social group, then you’ve come to the right place! Pottery painting needs no experience and no artistic ability, making it the perfect activity for your whole team!

A “Group Booking” classes as an organisation with 6-28 people. There’s a Group Booking fee of £20.00 for the group (on a weekday) or £30.00 (on a weekend or) in addition to the pottery you paint. The fee can be paid by the organisation, or everyone can chip in a couple of pounds.

For children’s groups (such as schools or Brownies) we recommend the organiser setting a price limit per head. For adult groups, everyone can pay for their own choice of item.

We can also provide hot drinks for adult group bookings (on weekdays), which is included in your group fee. Just to be confusing, the following loopholes apply!

  • We can accomodate a group booking in a Thursday if no other date is available for your organiation. This incurrs a group fee of £30.00, to cover staffing on a ‘closed day’

  • We can also accomodate groups with additional needs, such as residential care homes. We are very accessible and believe that painting pottery should be available to all. However, the group booking fee will £30.00, even on a weekday, due to the higher level of assistance needed.

We love to welcome groups of all shapes and sizes, and aim to make your experience as special as possible. Please do get in touch, and feel free to ask as many questions as you like!

Visits To Your Venue

Sometimes, transporting a big group of people is just a bit too… chaotic! If that’s the case, but you still want to experience pottery painting, we are here to help! For a Venue Visit, everyone picks their pottery from a list sent beforehand, we turn up with the equipment, lead the session, and pack everyting up when you’re done! We’ll then glaze and fire your pottery back at the studio, and you can send someone to pick it up a few weeks later. We can arrange Venue Visits for…

  • Limited-mobility groups. Things like care homes or schools, where your group is too big or too difficult to transport.

  • Large holiday groups. We can make your hen weekend or family reunion extra-special by bringing the experience to you! All the fun of painting pottery, without leaving your holiday house.

  • Printing Workshops. If you run, or attend, a toddler group, nursery or other early-years setting, get in touch to arrange a printing workshop for your group! We do Christmas bauble printing, Mother’s Day Mugs, Father’s Day Tiles - whatever you want. A convenient and stress-free way for parents to get their little one’s prints done for a special occasion.

Venue Visits come with a £30.00 booking fee, to be paid in person or by BACS before the event This is to cover petrol, setup time and extra staffing/closing the studio whilst we are one the road! The cost of pottery remains the same, and it’s up to you whether that is paid by the individual, or if the organisation sets a budget per head.

Venue Visits are a wonderful opportunity to experience getting creative in a more exclusive setting - hit the button to enquire today!

Guided Painting Courses

Somethimes, all you want are a few instructions… Well, book onto one of our guided courses, and you’ll get some! Guided painting courses are exactly that: you are given a piece of pottery and an ‘end design’, and you are given step-by-step instructions to help you get there! Guided courses are for all abilities, and just as much fun for experienced painters as they are for newbies.

Some of our guided courses (such as Evenings of Colour), involve special techniques not available to regular painters. Some, (such as Paint a “Fruit” Bowl) focus on recreating a popular design, without fear of mistakes!

Guided sessions and workshops are given an age bracket, and we run them for both 9-15 year-olds and 15+ year-olds. The time and day of a guided session are entirely dependant on the individual course, so take a look at our Events section to see what’s coming up!

The price of a guided session varies depending on the item and the technique, but we always make sure to advertise it nice and clearly! Again, hop over to the Events section of our homepage to see what’s on!

Special Events

Halloween Pumpkin Painting? Christmas Decoration Evening? Harry Pottery Party? If those sound good, it’s because they are! We hold special events regularly throughout the year. Some are for children, some for adults, some in the day and some in the evening, but one thing is for sure - there will be one to suit you!

All upcoming Special Events can be found in the Events section on our homepage, as well as front and centre on our social media. Events are usually limited-space, so if you like the sound of somethihng, don’t delay in booking your slot!

Events have a small studio fee as well as your pottery, to cover extra materials, staffing and time. This will always be displayed very clearly on the event details, but please do ask if you’re confused.

To look at what we’ve got planned, why not take a look at our social media? (You’ll find the links on our homepage!)

FAQs

More questions? Luckily, here are some more answers!

  • You’ve just scrolled past the answer! Nip back up the page and have a read. If you’re still not sure, give us a ring or drop us a message.

  • Most definately yes - there’s nothing worse than turning up and finding us full! On a quiet day, you’ll probably be fine, but booking is really easy. Just give us a ring on the number below, send us a message or drop us an email.

  • There isn’t one! We print the feet of week-old babies, welcome painters in their 90s, and everything in-between. It’s a common misconception to say it’s ‘just for children’. Pottery painting is for everyone, and we know you’ll love it too!

  • The wait time for collecting your pottery is usually between 10-14 days. During exceptionally busy periods (looking at you, school holidays!) it can be up to a month. If you need your pottery back for a specific date, let us know and we can fast-track it. If you’ve commissioned a piece of artwork, the wait time can be up to eight weeks, unless you specify a deadline. We understand how hard it is to wait for your pottery to be ready, but remember that we are working as quickly as we can, and need time to ensure your pottery comes back to you in tip-top condition!

  • Not us personally, but if you put the postcode WR15 8SF into your satnav, it’ll take you straight to the swimming pool carpark, where you can park for as long as you like. (Bonus: it’s free!)

  • Never fear! We can post you pottery pack to you, for a small additional cost. If you visit us at the beginning of your holiday, we may well be able to fire it in time for you to pick up. Make sure to tell us your departure date, though!

  • Very! There are no steps up to the studio, and we’ve got room to park your pushchair. Wheelchair users are also very welcome, but it’s a good idea to let us know beforehand, so that we can find you the best table. We don’t have a disabled toilet, but you’ll find one in the library, just across the road. If you have a special requirement (such as turning off the music), let us know. We always do everything we can to make your visit enjoyable.

  • Hop over to the ‘Join the Fun’ page of the website, and you’ll find some very useful directions!

  • As long as you need it to! We’re happy for you to stay up to our 4:00pm closing time, and you can pop in and out as many times as you want during your session. On very busy days, we may have to limit you to two hours, but we’ll always let you know if that’s the case.

  • We’re ALWAYS open on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and we’re open on Thursdays in the school holidays. If you’re planning a big special event, and want to bring a large group to paint, then we can open for you on a Thursday or Sunday. Just make sure your group has at least 16 people in it, and contact us well in advance.

  • We don’t really recommend that, as it may chip the paint (which would be a shame after all your hard work!). Microwaving it also isn’t a great idea: it won’t explode or anything, but extreme temperature and exposure to lots of moisture may cause ‘crazing’ (little cracks in the clear glaze)

  • You can! If your dog is happy to sit quietly by your feet and won’t bother the other customers, you’re welcome to bring them along: you can even book an appointment to make some paw-print pottery!

  • We’re sorry, but no - we don’t have anything to do with wet clay. If you’re looking for potter’s wheel courses, or something similar; we recommend contacting Eastnor Pottery, in Lebury. They’re experts in that department!

  • Paint and peanut butter sandwiches aren’t a great mix, so we don’t serve any food. However, you’re very welcome to bring a packed lunch and eat it during your session. If you forgot your sandwiches, we’re happy to point you to one of Tenbury’s great cafés or restaurants. We only serve hot and soft drinks at our Friday Night Paint ’Til Late session, but you’re welcome to bring your own outside of those times. The only thing we can’t have in the studio is alcohol, so save the bubbles for later!

  • Ooh, we’re glad you asked that! Hop along to the All About Pottery page, and we’ll tell you allll about it…

  • You know what? That’s absoultely fine. Just email, phone, message, DM or send us a carrier pigeon with your question and we shall provide an answer! You’ll find all our contact details on the ‘Join the Fun’ page.
