Planning a visit? Then this page is the one for you!

Book here!

You can email us directly from this contact form, but if you really don’t like emailing, just give us a ring or send us a message! When you enquire about booking, it’s best to include your name and group size, as well as the date and time you’d like to come. That way, we can get back to you as quickly as possible!

So… Where Are We?

  • If you’re driving along the A456, you’ll see a red Texaco petrol station and creamy-white bridge, with a sign saying ‘Tenbury Wells’.  Cross the bridge and drive down Teme Street – you’ll see a Tesco on your left and a white cinema building on your right.  At the end of Teme Street, the road curves around, with a black-and-white building on the right-hand corner. That’s us!  If you want to park in the swimming pool carpark (WR15 8SF), carry on over a small blue bridge, following the signs to Long Term (Cars).  After about 400 metres, you’ll see the carpark on your left.  From there, you can walk past the pool and alongside the Pump Rooms to reach us in just two minutes!

  • You’ll find yourself on Oldwood Road, which brings you through St Michael’s, over Oldwood Common and down into Tenbury.  Keep following that road past the Pembroke Inn.  The road curves right past the Round Market, but you don’t need to turn off. When the road curves left, you’ll see a black-and-white building on the left-hand corner. That’s us!  Opposite to the studio, there’s a road going off to the right (over a small blue bridge). Take that turning and follow the road to the swimming pool carpark (WR15 8SF).  Once you’ve parked, it’s a short walk to the studio past the Pump Rooms.

  • The B4204 takes you down a big hill towards the town. Directly after the 30mph signs, you’ll need to turn right into the swimming pool carpark (WR15 8SF). Then you can walk past the pool and alongside the Pump Rooms to reach us in just two minutes! (Just look for the flamingo signs: you can’t miss it.)

FAQs

If you’re planning a session but have a few questions, take a look at these - they should be able to help!

  • It all depends on what you paint. We don’t believe in charging people to sit down, so there’s no studio fee. Our pottery ranges from £6.00-£60.00, with most things falling between £12.00-£25.00. If you’re booking a party or large group, there will be a small additional cost, depending on which group package you choose. Find out more on our ‘Painting, Printing, Prices’ page!

  • A definite YES! Especially at weekends and in school holidays, otherwise we may not be able to fit you in. We can usually accommodate midweek walk-ins, but it’s still best that we know to expect you! Booking is easy-peasy: you can find all our contact details at the bottom of the page, and all you have to do is send us a message.

  • There isn’t one! We print the feet of week-old babies, welcome painters in their 90s, and everything in-between. It’s a common misconception to say it’s ‘just for children’. Pottery painting is for everyone, and we know you’ll love it too!

  • The wait time for collecting your pottery is usually between 10-14 days. During exceptionally busy periods (looking at you, school holidays!) it can be up to a month. If you need your pottery back for a specific date, let us know and we can fast-track it. If you’ve commissioned a piece of artwork, the wait time can be up to eight weeks, unless you specify a deadline. We understand how hard it is to wait for your pottery to be ready, but remember that we are working as quickly as we can, and need time to ensure your pottery comes back to you in tip-top condition!

  • Not us personally, but if you put the postcode WR15 8SF into your satnav, it’ll take you straight to the swimming pool carpark, where you can park for as long as you like. (Bonus: it’s free!)

  • Never fear! We can post your pottery pack to you, for a small additional cost. If you’re staying for a week, and visit us at the beginning of your holiday, we may well be able to fire it in time for you to pick up. Make sure to tell us your departure date, though!

  • Very! There are no steps up to the studio, and we’ve got room to park your pushchair. Wheelchair users are also very welcome, but it’s a good idea to let us know beforehand, so that we can find you the best table. We don’t have a disabled toilet, but you’ll find one in the library, just across the road. If you have a special requirement (such as turning off the music), let us know. We always do everything we can to make your visit enjoyable.

  • As long as you need it to! We’re happy for you to stay up to our 4:00pm closing time, and you can pop in and out as many times as you want during your session. On very busy days, we may have to limit you to two hours, but we’ll always let you know if that’s the case.

  • We’re ALWAYS open on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and we’re open on Thursdays in the school holidays. If you’re planning a big special event, and want to bring a large group to paint, then we can open for you on a Thursday or Sunday. Just make sure your group has at least 14 people in it, and contact us well in advance.

  • We don’t really recommend that, as it may chip the paint (which would be a shame after all your hard work!). Microwaving it isn’t a great idea either: it won’t explode or anything, but extreme temperature and exposure to lots of moisture may cause ‘crazing’ (little cracks in the clear glaze)

  • You can! If your dog is happy to sit quietly by your feet and won’t bother the other customers, you’re welcome to bring them along: you can even book an appointment to make some paw-print pottery!

  • We’re sorry, but no - we don’t have anything to do with wet clay. If you’re looking for potter’s wheel courses, or something similar; we recommend contacting Eastnor Pottery, in Lebury. They’re experts in that department!

  • Paint and peanut butter sandwiches aren’t a great mix, so we don’t serve any food. However, you’re very welcome to bring a packed lunch and eat it during your session. If you forgot your sandwiches, we’re happy to point you to one of Tenbury’s great cafés or restaurants. We do serve hot and soft drinks at our Friday Night Paint ’Til Late session, but outside of those times, you’re welcome to bring your own. The only thing we can’t have in the studio is alcohol, so save the bubbles for later!

  • You know what? That’s absolutely fine. Just email, phone, message, DM or send us a carrier pigeon with your question and we shall provide an answer! You’ll find all our contact details at the foot of the page, or you can use the contact form above the map.
